Get Connected to a New Small Group
This Sunday, April 23rd, we will be launching new small groups at Restoration Church. Our goal is for every member of our church to be actively involved in a small group because we believe that discipleship happens in community. In our small groups, we see people sacrificially and intentionally come alongside each other to grow in Christlikeness and make disciples together. If you have not had an opportunity to connect to a small group yet, check out the small groups that are starting next week below.
Ian and his wife, Katie, moved to Raleigh in 2014 to pursue Ian’s career as a Transportation Engineer. They became members of Restoration Church after moving to Wake Forest to complete Katie’s education at SEBTS. In their free time, you will find them exploring outdoors, cooking together, or enjoying game night with friends. They are passionate about the gospel, and as small group leaders they desire to help create community that fosters growing in Christlikeness and seeking to reach the lost in Wake Forest.

Michael Barlow served as a student pastor in Virginia for almost 10 years. In obedience to God’s call, he moved his family to Wake Forest to obtain his Pastoral Ministry degree at SEBTS. In 2016, Michael lost his wife, Michelle. Now, he and his two children, Rhett and Vanessa, passionately seek to complete God’s mission for their family: to shepherd the people of God and see families flourish in the gospel. Michael loves God, loves people, and longs to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Over the past 6 months, Michael and Heather Pope have partnered together in ministry to serve the people of God. Heather is a single mom with two children, Austin and Cameron. Her love for God is obvious in the way she loves and serves people. Like Michael, she also passionately desires to see families thrive through the gospel.
Both Michael and Heather joined Restoration Church in 2016 and currently serve with First Impressions. With Michael’s gifts as shepherd and teacher and Heather’s call to care for women, they make a great ministry team. Please consider joining them as they love, serve, and grow together… all for the glory of God.
