Generosity Recap

Generosity Recap

what if

Dear Church Family,

Throughout the months of November and December, we prayed Ephesians 3:14-21.

[14] For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, [15] from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, [16] that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, [17] so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, [18] may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, [19] and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. [20] Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, [21] to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

During those months we challenged our church body to give above and beyond their regular tithes and offerings. In fact, we asked each person to make a “temporal sacrifice for global impact”. As a staff, we understood the enormity of our request in the middle of the Christmas season. We prayed and set a goal of $25,000 above our regular gifts to be given to advance the gospel in 2017. Today, we are overwhelmed by your obedience and sacrifice.

It is great humility and much gratitude that we get to report to you that we brought in a total of $35,164.70 to be given away for gospel advancement in our city and world.

Yes, that is $10,164.70 above our goal. This is an incredible way to begin 2017. He is “able to do far more abundantly than all that we can ask or think…”

Thank you, church, for your obedience. You attempted something great for God – now let’s join together and watch Him do great things, for His glory, through us.

In Christ,
Restoration Staff
