For The City: Summer 2016

For The City: Summer 2016

Do you want to serve but simply don’t know how? Are you looking for a way to connect with people? Do you find joy in giving away your time and talents to make a difference in the lives of others? For The City: Summer 2016 is just for you!

Serve Summer 2016 - For the City

On July 27-30th, Restoration Church, will be participating together in a variety of service projects around the Town of Wake Forest, North Carolina. We will be serving schools, non-profit organizations, neighborhoods, and local first responders (law enforcement, fire department, etc.) The reason we do this is because this is a tangible way for us, as a body of believers, to serve others and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ to them.

This year we have done things a little differently. We’ve empowered our small groups to pray, plan, strategize, and execute numerous service projects. These projects were selected by the groups for the purpose of not only serving these different organizations once a year, but to provide ongoing service to them throughout the months and years to come. We want to be a constant and consistent presence in the community in which we live and love. For the City is how we plan to do that.

If you would like to be a part of For The City with us, we invite you to sign up HERE. We would love to provide you with a free For The City t-shirt to wear as you serve the city with us. You are welcome to sign up and serve in as many projects as you would like. In fact, the more the merrier! Seriously, this is a great way to meet more people and enjoy fellowship with them. Try it!

If you are unable to make it this year, please consider devoting some time to prayer. We would appreciate any and all prayers as we demonstrate the love of Jesus to Wake Forest. Ask the Lord give us courage to share the gospel and ask Him to help our efforts be felt for years to come. We are trusting Him to do “immeasurably more than we can comprehend or imagine.”

I look forward to seeing you at For The City!
